01 90-day implementation route

Sequence the work. Do not rush the evidence.

Discover → Decide → Design → Deploy → Demonstrate. The days are an editorial planning frame, not a legal deadline, guarantee or universal project estimate.

01Days 1–15

Trace reality

Discover

Create an owned picture of collection points, purposes, systems, exports, processors and high-impact journeys.

Work to complete
  1. Trace three representative journeys end to end
  2. Reconcile purchased software with data-handling services
  3. Name owners for systems, purposes and evidence
Exit evidence
  • Collection-point register
  • System and processor map
  • Unresolved-owner list

02Days 16–30

Make choices explicit

Decide

Resolve purposes, notice scope, choice reliance, retention events, role assessments and conditional child/SDF questions.

Work to complete
  1. Separate essential and optional purposes
  2. Approve notice and choice decisions per journey
  3. Record retention events and fact-dependent role decisions
Exit evidence
  • Decision log
  • Notice and choice matrix
  • Retention and applicability decisions

Build the operating path

Design

Turn decisions into rights, correction, erasure, safeguard, vendor-exit and breach workflows with clear hand-offs.

Work to complete
  1. Design one shared rights-request queue
  2. Specify deletion and exception actions by system
  3. Separate breach communication facts, owners and clocks
Exit evidence
  • Workflow diagrams
  • System runbooks
  • Role and escalation matrix

04Days 56–75

Put the design into systems

Deploy

Ship the smallest coherent configuration, content and ownership changes, then record what actually changed.

Work to complete
  1. Publish versioned collection notices
  2. Apply access, preference and retention changes
  3. Brief the people who operate each hand-off
Exit evidence
  • Release and configuration record
  • Access and preference tests
  • Role-based briefing record

Exercise and retrieve

Demonstrate

Run synthetic requests and an incident tabletop, retrieve the evidence pack and convert failures into owned remediation.

Work to complete
  1. Exercise access, correction and erasure
  2. Run a breach tabletop with the distinct Rule 7 steps
  3. Retrieve a sample of control evidence through the index
Exit evidence
  • Exercise findings
  • Evidence retrieval result
  • Prioritised remediation plan

KeepBrowser-only assessment state

Use the JSON export as a planning snapshot. Keep actual evidence in the organisation's controlled systems.

AvoidUploading evidence to this site

This site has no upload, submission or account capability and should not be used to store personal data.

EscalateLegal and fact-specific decisions

Use qualified counsel for applicability, interpretation and release review. The route cannot make those conclusions.

02 Your first fifteen days

Begin with three real journeys, not every spreadsheet.

A representative lead, customer and staff journey usually expose enough hand-offs to establish the register structure and ownership questions.
